This portrait, which hung as a pair with another of Queen Victoria in the Billiard Hall of the Alexander Palace, depicts Alexandra Feodorovna in her robes as Empress of all the Russias. The Empress wears the small crown of the Empress, created by the jeweller Duval in the eighteenth century.
