Romanovs: The Final Chapter

description:

A discussion of the Romanov’s captivity, their execution and its aftermath, including the discovery of the remains, DNA testing, and the Anna Anderson case. (Email for cover photo of hardcover edition.)

unique features:

One of the first non-fiction works focused on the death and aftermath of the Romanov’s execution published after the discovery of the Imperial remains.

similar to:

Fate of the Romanovs

in my opinion:

Published quickly after the discovery of the remains and their DNA testing, so consequently not as polished a work as Nicholas and Alexandra. Recent research also disputes some of Massie’s conclusions. Still, very readable.

Hagia Sophia Drawings by Grelo 1680 and Loos 1710
