Nikolai II: Posledniy Rossiyskiy Imperator (Nicholas II: The Last Russian Emperor)

description:

An oversized biography of the reign of Nicholas II, generously illustrated with hundreds of black and white photographs.

(Title in Russian: Николай II: Последниы Российский Император)

unique features:

Many scarce photographs (some duplicated from Sunset of the Romanov Dynasty).

similar to:

Sunset of the Romanov Dynasty

in my opinion:

Although many of the photos aren't found in other volumes, their print quality is mediocre (due to the paper quality). The text is a rather disjointed mix of non-fiction narrative, profiles of the imperial family, and extensive photo captions. Because its style and format are so VERY similar to Sunset of the Romanov Dynasty, I'd recommend non-Russian speakers stick to Sunset.
